In the process of pasting boxes, everyone encountered various problems, and at the same time, a variety of solutions appeared.

1 The bonding fastness is not high, and the carton is degummed. Degumming refers to the cracking of the adhesive due to insufficient bonding fastness

The main reasons are summarized as follows:

  (1) The viscosity of the adhesive is insufficient or the amount of glue applied is insufficient.

  (2) Adhesive and carton material do not match.

  (3) The sticking part of the carton has been surface-processed such as laminating, glazing, etc. It is difficult for the adhesive to penetrate the surface and penetrate into the paper, making the carton difficult to stick firmly.

  (4) The pressure is insufficient after folding and gluing, and the pressure time is not long enough, which is not conducive to sticking firm.

For the above-mentioned problem that the glue box is not strong, the glue that is compatible with the carton material should be selected, and the choice and use of the glue are also very particular.

First of all, it cannot be mistakenly assumed that the higher the viscosity of the adhesive, the better the box-gluing effect. With high viscosity, the strength of the adhesive will increase, and the wrinkle rate will increase accordingly. When the glue roller of the automatic box gluer is running at a high speed of 112 revolutions per minute, the recommended viscosity of the adhesive is 500 to 1000 cps.

Secondly, the adhesive has a strong binding force. Because the instant pressure of the forming part of the automatic folder gluer is not very high, and in the high-speed operation process of producing 30-40 cartons per minute, the pressure time is not long. The adhesive with strong binding force, even if it is light Pressure can also bond the carton firmly.

In addition, the ambient temperature of the paste box workshop will also have a certain impact on the adhesive. If the temperature in the box-gluing workshop is too low, the adhesive will solidify immediately, which will affect the fastness of the adhesion, even if the amount of glue applied is no longer effective. Of course, the smaller the amount of glue applied, the more sensitive it is to room temperature, so in winter, the temperature in the box-gluing workshop should be kept above 20°C, and air conditioning can be installed if conditions permit. In the box-gluing workshop, a large and easy-to-see thermometer is also installed to check and control the working environment at any time. For products with good paste, they should be dried at room temperature before leaving the factory. In winter, do not rush to deliver them before they are dry.
